Gerd and Ellen (our neighbours) asked us over for some drinks last night. It was a very nice evening. Talked about a wide range of subjects. Of course a lot about our children: Hannah, Ravi and JJ.

Yesterday when I was browsing the bookshelf in the attic I found my Dad's diary. It has two parts. The first part is a collection of newspaper cuttings from the Mobilisation period just before WWII in Holland. The second part starts in 1944 around D-Day and is a handwritten account. My Dad was born in 1925, so he was 14 and 19 years old at that time. I'm thinking of scanning every page and putting them here on the site. But the handwriting is very difficult to read, fine pen strokes, very compact. But I'll see when I get some time ...
