Coincidence or not ?

Just reading the Wikipedia article on Nigeria and stumbled on: the Bantu. From that page:

"The Benue-Cross River area is thought to be the original homeland of the Bantu migrants who spread across most of central and southern Africa in waves between the 1st millennium BC and the 2nd millennium AD."

The funny thing is that Henk and I always choose the Bantu as our civilisation type in "Rise of Nations" ... because in this game you can build villages quicker than the other types. Why was I looking at the Nigeria page ? Because Maudy's husband Prince is from Nigeria. Interesting how things intertwine.

I also ran into this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Map_Library
Nice to see these initiatives to open up the available GIS data to the public (for the African continent for now).

I've rotated some of the movies shot with our digital camera featuring our biggest star: Hannah Kapanski (I can't remember how it started, but the Kapanski nickname stuck and now even Ravi is using it :-) ). I'll upload them to YouTube and put the links somewhere on this site. Our camera is not so smart to know it's been rotated (like the iPhone), so I've to do that by hand using the wonderful and free: Virtualdub program. The only problem I always have is finding a avi codec that works ... sigh.
